Six-Word-Story of What Is Happening in The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier Clay

        If I were to write a six-word-story about what is happening in The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier Clay, it would be, Josef's struggles in traveling to America. Part one starts with Josef finally making it to America and meeting Sammy, however, it goes into his whole adventure of making it to America which was not a simple feat. The fact that his family had to give up so much of their wealth and belongings merely to get a ticket for Josef to the United States is interesting and unfortunate. It shouldn't have even been Josef's fault that he got kicked off the train because I'm sure many other people didn't see the latest guideline. It is unfair to Josef that he didn't initially get reimbursed for the ticket as it wasn't necessarily his fault that he wasn't prepared: he already had everything in line as he mentioned, aside from the new rule put in place in the morning. That was his initial struggle following the struggle of his family getting a ticket.  

        Additionally, he was unable to return home to his family as it would have been too much of a disappointment for them. It is kind of surprising that his first instinct after being unable to return home was to go and find his old teacher. But, he also encountered many other struggles with his old teacher during his attempt to make it to America. Firstly, finding the Golem was not a simple task, Mr. Kornblum and Josef had to go around and survey every apartment in the building. After locating the Golem, it wasn't any easier to remove it from the apartment it had been placed in. Similarly, it was a struggle for Josef to return to his apartment and get a suit that would fit the Golem because of Thomas sleeping right outside their apartment door. 

    Despite all of Josef's previous adventures, his struggles did not end there. He had to cram himself into the box with the Golem for many hours on the train ride. That was a difficult period of time for him as he was unable to go to the bathroom, stretch his body, or eat food. After being unloaded from the train, his position was almost given up in the coffin after the guards wanted to pry open the box to retrieve the Golem's suit. Josef endured many struggles but he eventually made it to his destination, the United States of America.
